Someone recently called this site a ‘blog.’ I told him it wasn’t. It’s just a family web site used to post pictures and, y’know, stuff. And then even more recently I decided to drop the circa-2001 php ‘news’ software I used on the front page in favor of something a little more recent, a little more user-friendly (turned out to be this nifty ever-so-easy-to-install WordPress blogging software).

Most of the software packages I considered were blogging packages so I had to finally come to the conclusion that this is a blog of sorts. Some Sort of Blog. Yet Another Blog. It’s mostly just a place to post pictures of our family and tell our friends and family about what’s up in our lives.

Perhaps now that I have a REAL blog engine under the hood I’ll be more inclined to BLOG. Who knows. I still reserve the right to forget about this site completely for months at a time. Come back often!

… because this is not a “blog” in the usual sense, but simply a place to let our friends and family in on what we’ve been up to, photos of the little guys and so on.

However, this article is, as this guy says “the most important thing you will read today”. And I agree. So go and read it.

But this is still not a blog.
