We just returned from our vacation in San Diego. The parents are tired. The kids are cranky and in need of sleep. Nevertheless, it was a good four days of nothing but Shamu, Pandas, and the beach. There are also a lot of other pictures of Iain, Vacation Bible School, the first round of swim lessons, and Heidi’s family’s yearly swim party. Summer has begun.

The Many Faces of Iain

We celebrated Rachael (9) and Cassandra’s (7) birthdays at our place last weekend with entirely too much Hannah Montana, a trip to the park, and Lamppost pizza followed by a good helping of video games.

Temperatures were in the 90s the following day so we decided to spend the afternoon at Pt. Mugu in the sand and (very cold) waves.

Heidi was playing a game with Aidan this morning whereby she would rock him off the ottoman causing him to fall (three year olds love this sort of thing). I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take some pictures while they were being so cheerful.

(Of course, while I’m writing this Aidan decides to hit Iain for moving in on his Thomas the Tank Engine turf. Dada intervenes. A timeout is proclaimed. Oye.)
